A ride can make a difference in your day. Whether you are planning a trip to work, the grocery store, or an appointment, knowing your transportation options is a helpful first step.
GWTA offers local bus and van transportation in Goldsboro and Wayne County. Explore the options below, then check with GWTA to find the service that fits your trip.
Taking the bus?
Use GWTA’s maps, schedules and Trip Finder to check stops and plan your journey. Its published fixed-route fares list a $1 full-fare day pass and a 50¢ reduced-fare day pass. Reduced fares have eligibility and identification requirements.
Need a van ride?
Call 919-736-1374, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Reserve at least two business days ahead; eligible ADA paratransit riders may reserve one day ahead.
Rural general-public riders must call back the business day before travel, before 2 p.m., to confirm approval. Tell the scheduler if you need a lift-equipped vehicle or will bring an escort. Ask about pickup windows, the return trip and the fare.
GWTA lists general-public van fares of $5 per person, per destination; reduced fares and other service rules may apply. It also offers some out-of-county medical trips—call to confirm destinations and scheduling.
